Colonia Essenza by Acqua di Parma Review 1

February 2021 (WHAT'S NEW?)

Colonia Essenza by Acqua di Parma Review
Colonia Essenza may be inspired by a 1916 fragrance and comes in a bottle styled after art deco, but do not let that paint your impression of the scent. It is not old-fashioned and rather is both warm and fresh. Despite the abundance of florals, this is not sweet or too dainty. There are a few bitter hints along the way, but not without taking away the essence of the fragrance.

Reveals an interesting development from warm to refreshing florals
Has a modern appeal despite the original and its packaging
Would not dominate a space but has good staying power
The heart reveals a slightly jarring smell to the scent
We think that it has a tad powdery feel

Acqua di Parma introduced Colonia Essenza in 2010. The fragrance was contained in a flacon of an art deco style, alluding to the classy juice inside. The ads, shot by Giovanni Gastel, are likewise elegant. The notes are listed as lemon, bergamot, orange, petitgrain, grapefruit, sage, lily of the valley, neroli, patchouli, jasmine, white musk, vetiver and amber.
