September 2022 Sales (LATEST)

It’s always adorable seeing designers get inspired by fairytales. But trust Alena Akhmadullina to take her inspiration a bit too literally for her Pre-Fall 2019 Collection. Inspired by the Russian fairytale “The Fox and the Cat,” there was no scarcity of cat and fox prints and imagery in her offering this season. While novel in conception, the execution looks a bit too juvenile to warrant the high prices these clothes probably will cost. There were, however, some covetable pieces in this line. Her tailoring here is the strongest point, particularly the chocolate brown leather coat that fit the model to perfection and the softly cut monochrome ecru cashmere set. The 40s-inspired looks also look presentable yet sophisticated, especially the high-waisted leather pencil skirt. These specific looks scream luxurious, and even though most of the items here are a bit too cartoonish for a well-off lady’s taste, there’s bound to be some other pieces here that she’ll fancy.
