The Uncompromising Sohan by Penhaligon’s Review
Description
If the combination of oud and rose is not too common a theme nowadays, then we would have found The Uncompromising Sohan more special. However, given the circumstance, we cannot help but zoom in on its shortcomings. The fragrance for us, feels especially sharp in the beginning that may already put off those curious about the oriental note, and then the artificial hints are hard to distinguish from the rest. Decent sillage and performance are at least here, but there are better options around if you’re shopping for a creative oud-centered fragrance.

Positives
Feels appropriate to us for chillier seasons
Projects well and lasts some decent hours on the skin
Negatives
Sharp, potentially off-putting opening
The synthetic vibe is hard to shake off
We think that this is a scent that would not appeal to everyone
