The two labels target the same type of customer—ladies who are strong and confident, lead an active lifestyle, and take pride in their femininity. The partnership came naturally, even though the brands’ focus do not necessarily coincide all the time.
Collaborations are not new to Carbon38. The company with a focus for active apparel has already worked with high fashion brands in the past, but CEO Katie Warner Johnson says that they are excited about this one in particular because Cushnie’s creations are best known for their impeccable fit and their functionality. Being entrusted as the exclusive distributor and partner is an honor, especially since some of their ideas seem suitable to the Cushnie woman as much as they are for a Carbon38 customer.
The collection will consist of 10 pieces of activewear and athleisure collection. Although they are appropriate for the gym, any woman can also elect to wear them outside its confines and still end up fashionable. It will be a lifestyle collection, according to Carly Cushnie, as well as serve as new additions to the Cushnie prêt-à-porter. The Cushnie activewear courtesy of this collaboration will expand its target woman’s wardrobe with functional pieces that are created with high quality and luxurious materials.
Cushnie’s known penchant for architectural lines and modern aesthetic will show in the collaboration’s varied pieces which include jumpsuits, cropped jackets, sweatshirts, tops, pants and bra. Already available for purchase over at Carbon38’s official website, the price range for the items are pretty reasonable while still maintaining quality craftsmanship and versatility one would normally expect from both Carbon 38 and Cushnie.
