The colorway is not entirely new, having been used on other Lebron signature shoes. It pays respect to the star’s history, and in particular his school, which was King’s St. Vincent-St. Mary (hence, the “Svsm”). The shoes come in a green and white colorway, referencing the institution’s Irish roots besides the word “Irish” explicity embroidered on the strap. These also come with hints of gold, giving just the right amount of glimmer to make the shoes fully pop.
Pros
For the most part, the Nike Lebron Soldier 12 Svsm is a delight to wear. The cushioning of the Nike Zoom Air adds more value to it because it gives a nice bounce with each step and the shoes won’t drag your feet down. The kicks are also comfortable around the feet, especially by the toe cap which has been noted to be soft and supple. You can’t expect to walk on smooth surfaces all the time; in this case, the shoes are handy because of the traction they provide, whether while playing ball or heading elsewhere. The ease with which they can be put on is proportional to the security one can feel through the hook-and-loop straps which you can style for more personality. These, too, add to the attractiveness of the design, and with its colorway, flaunting them on the streets or on the court would not be a problem.
Cons
The subdued beauty of the Nike Lebron Soldier 12 Svsm may blend well on or away from the court, but its durability is a stumbling block; it may limit the time you can enjoy styling them if the outsole rubber would be worn out in a few uses. It seems that wide feet was not a big consideration in creating the shoes as there have been complaints about it running narrow, and the Velcro straps which supposedly make adjusting the tightness easier are not too secure. Breathability is a concern for the shoes and can potentially take away enjoyment from wearing them. The pair could also benefit from better outriggers so that it could provide more stability among owners.
