Nautica Blue by Nautica Review
Description
Nautica Blue is a cheapie that is in some ways better than the original Nautica fragrance it was based on. We find this to be more aquatic and less powdery, therefore more fitting for the naughts’ and onwards’ youngsters. There is even a hint of sweet that is not cloying, delivered by the peach and the pineapple. Blue is not exciting or that complex of a scent though, and noses with finer preferences would likely look elsewhere for that staple aquatic scent.

Positives
Feels more proper aquatic than other Nautica fragrances
We reckon it to be more wearable than the Classic because it is less powdery
Could be bought from stores for a very cheap price
Negatives
Not a very complex scent
Sillage is soft and longevity is poor, but those are expected

Nautica Blue entered the sea of aquatic fragrances in 2005. Created by Maurice Roucel, it was designed in a similar manner to the original Nautica fragrance, which is now called Nautica Classic, albeit sweeter. Blue even uses an identical bottle to make the association clearer. The fragrance is concocted with peach, pineapple and bergamot for the top notes; water lily and jasmine for the middle notes; and musk, sandalwood and cedar for the base notes.
