Sometimes, it takes someone who’s been in the spotlight to know what clothes will make one look good in it. Before she became a big-named designer, Kimora Lee Simmons was a supermodel who graced runways and red carpets all over the world. It’s no surprise that her magnetism against the flashing lights of the paparazzi came to her mind when she was designing her label’s Pre-Fall 2019 Collection. At first glance, it’s easy to mistake these as ordinary basics, but it’s the mix of textiles and fearless use of prints that make them all the more noteworthy. An array of black looks, for example, is made up of leather and crepe which, when hit by light, creates a multi-dimensional effect that’s sure to be stunning on the front pages of celebrity magazines and gossip websites. Additionally, an artistic floral print in the most billowy of cocktail frocks and maxi dresses is sure to be a show-stopper on any red carpet. These are clothes made for Hollywood royalty, as well as for the women who, while they may not be celebrities themselves, have the confidence of an A-Lister within them.
