Fidelis by Histoires de Parfums Review
Fidelis is a beaut. Released by Histoires de Parfums alongside other fragrances in its Edition Rare line, it distinguishes itself for belonging to the chypre family and coming off as sweet and smoky. We can also detect a bit of booze in it. The sillage is not to be undermined as it can fill a room, and that’s one to consider if you’re not for fragrances with sweet profiles. Still, you can spritz it if only to smell for yourself the lovely contribution of coffee and amber on the fragrance. Performance is excellent on us as well.
Coffee and amber balance out the sweetness of the scent
Has impressive staying power and sillage
We think this is very easy to wear
Sweeter than other people would prefer
Not ideal for warm weather, can easily overwhelm in hotter temperatures
Save Big At:
Histoires de Parfums introduces chypre at a time when such fragrances are uncommon through Fidelis. Released in 2015, it was intended for wear by both men and women. Julien Rasquinet is the perfumer behind the scent. Through him, the fragrance incorporates coffee, cumin, saffron, cardamom, raspberry, rose, patchouli, oud and amber.
