Back in the day, people had limited options choosing which shoes to use when they need to keep themselves active. Today, the situation is far from that, as we now have more choices we could ever want. There are different styles, different colors, and different purposes, it may take a few tries just to pin what’s right. That’s why we’re doing reviews so you know what you’re getting into. Today, we’re taking a pair from a sneaker royalty, Nike.

Check out Nike’s Lunar Exceed TR. The looks alone will already draw you in, and what’s more, it’s marketed to be appropriate for cross training so you can stick with just one shoe in and out o the gym. The Nike swoosh is also like a guarantee that you’re leaving the safety of your feet in safe hands. Will it fit the bill for everything you might need? We’re here to know.

Pros

When working out or training, it is important that your shoes are comfortable and cushioned enough to make each step easier as much as possible. This pair got a mesh upper, so that you don’t sweat through your shoes, while the midsole contains a dual-density foam that ticks the comfort box as well. A perfect fit is also a must—hence, the flywire cables and the partial bootie construction for making that locked-down feel possible. Even when stepping on hard, uneven surfaces, you can be confident that the shoes will be just fine. The rubber outsole that has a full coverage guarantees this as well as a multi-surface traction, so you won’t have slippery feet when walking on a wet floor. There’s a generative design also employed on the sole to make the push from each step even better. Appearance-wise, they are minimalist and athletic, it would not be completely weird to wear them ever when you’re not on training.

Cons

The Nike Lunar Exceed TR is a training shoe, but the material can feel coarse and stiff around the heel initially, and may cause blisters while the wearer is still breaking into them. They also run very slim and tight, so you may have to get a bigger size than usual most especially since you will still be wearing socks with them.
