L’Ombre dans L’Eau by Diptyque Review
Description
L'Ombre dans L'Eau, the eau de parfum version, is not one we would recommend for a blind buy because as with other scents from the house, this is not destined to be a people pleaser. Still, those who would risk to buy one would find the rose explored nicely on the scent. The green accords give it more character, and somewhat show more of a romantic side. It can be good for layering if you feel you’re not getting enough.

Diptyque likens L’Ombre Dans L’Eau to an English, rose garden. The house released the eau de parfum in 2012, and is different from the eau de toilette introduced in 1983 despite sharing the same name. Its notes include blackcurrant leaf, blackcurrant, Damask rose and musk. It was created for the house by Serge Kalouguine.
