Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone Review
Description
Wood Sage & Sea Salt evokes an image of calm and the beach, but without resorting to the sharp and artificial elements that usually accompany scents of its kind. Instead of a shore populated by tourists, this is more of a peaceful walk right beside the water, with sprays of citrus, musk, woods and salt. Obviously, it is not meant to excite, so those looking for an invigorating fragrance may look elsewhere, but for those seeking a retreat in a scent, one would find that Wood Sage & Sea Salt offers just that.

Positives
Subtle and well-blended
Salty yet pleasant drydown
We smell discreet wood that gives the fragrance more character
Leans more on feminine, but could still be enjoyed by men
Negatives
A cologne, so understandably without excellent longevity
Not very exciting of a scent for us

It may be obvious right off the bat, but Wood Sage & Sea Salt takes cues from nature and intends to bring to its wearer the freedom that comes with exploring it. Created by Christine Nagel, it has sea salt and sage, but also ambrette seed, grapefruit and red algae. The fragrance was released under Jo Malone in 2014. It can be bought as part of a matching body care collection.
