Versace Pour Homme by Versace Review
Description
Versace Pour Homme is a fragrance we consider to be rather unusual for the house’s style code. The flacon is of less ornaments, although still classy in its own way. As for the scent, it is not loud, leaning more on being clean and fresh, and is generally inoffensive, making it an ideal wear for many occasions. But we could not help but feel let down because while it is not bad, it goes for predictable—save for the beautiful opening, everything up to the drydown is pretty ‘meh’ for us.

Positives
We find the opening to be sophisticated
Fresh and clean, inoffensive
The citrus accords are natural smelling
Very versatile
Negatives
The rest of the scent’s development does not build on the more impressive opening
Musky drydown is expected and underwhelming

Versace Pour Homme is made for the self-assured man, who perhaps does not have to depend on the scent to make a positive impression. The bottle it comes in seems to relay that as well given its toned down aesthetic especially when compared to other Versace fragrances. Created by Alberto Morillas, it has notes of neroli, bergamot, lemon, rose de mai, clary sage, hyacinth, geranium, cedar, musk, tonka bean and amber. It was first made available for purchase in 2008.
