Coming from the same line as the iconic Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray (which we’ve reviewed here on the site) is no easy task—in fact, it’s a tremendous amount of pressure. To that end, we can report that Urban Decay’s addition to the line, the All Nighter Liquid Foundation holds up… fine.
The most immediately striking quality of this product is its chrome encasement with “cutouts” in the middle where one can see the color of the product as well as the amount remaining. Of everything this product has going for it, the packaging is probably its best quality.
The formula, on the other hand, can be a touch wonky, we reckon. While yes, it does provide a great amount of coverage for the skin, it’s also a bit problematic in terms of how well it integrates with the skin. The product tends towards general stubbornness and unblendability, which results in the product feeling more like a mask once applied. That and its lack of resistance to getting shiny and melting off under the pressure of humidity is a huge strike for the product. And if those weren’t enough, the product also oxidizes like crazy, so you need to be absolutely sure of the shade you’re getting, lest you look like a mismatched head and body.
Our recommendation? Try it if it fascinates you, but always be aware of the formula’s many downfalls.
SUITABLE FOR: Normal to dry skin types.
