The first Heritage Black Bay model was actually released in 2012 and already gained a lot of attention. Two years later, in March of 2014, Tudor debuted the new iteration, the 79220B model. With a more refined look, this new Heritage Black Bay timepiece became an instant favorite among collectors and critics. In retailers today, the watch costs $3,100 a piece.

Tudor’s Heritage Black Bay 79220B is arguably the most elegant model in their beloved range. The watch is nicknamed “Black Bay Blue” because of its outstanding navy blue dial and bezel, which are contrasted beautifully by its stark white hands and numerals. Polished to perfection, the timepiece shimmers when touched by light and made all the more luxurious when paired with its stainless steel bracelet. The watch also comes with a leather strap with matching tones, further emphasizing its sophisticated colorway.
Cons
Despite its unrivaled elegance, the Black Bay Blue is quite similar to its original predecessor. Albeit the different hues, there’s little to no difference between this Black Bay model with the first one released two years prior. To make matters worse, it’s also been observed that the model bears resemblance to Rolex watches, a rival company of Tudor’s. It’s one thing to look like another model in your brand’s range, but it’s a different story when the timepiece looks like that of another brand entirely.
