Too Faced Natural Lust Satin Dual-Tone Bronzer Review
Product Description
Too Faced’s Natural Lust Satin Dual-Tone Bronzer gets a lot of things right that other bronzers might have difficulties with. It’s not just the lovely peacock-themed packaging that carries the product in this case. Natural-looking, well-balanced color is a huge plus of this product, and its extensive wear time definitely puts it over the top. Despite experiencing some difficulties in applying this product, we found it just so great to use, and let’s be real: if it looks great, then it probably is a great product, yeah?

As summer comes closer and closer, beauty brands are putting out more products that cash in on the desire for an enviable tanned summer glow. Of course, these products vary in directive and quality, which is why it’s important to use a discriminating eye to find the right one for us. The Natural Lust Satin Dual-Tone Bronzer is one of these apparent cash-ins, but we feel that Too Faced does get the job done the right way with this product.

Let’s start at the packaging. Put together with a peacock motif in mind, the package embodies that same spirit in its wonderful compact mirror case, as well as the impressive pan pressing that has a detailed peacock carrying the lighter of the two shades this bronzer packs. Another plus with this product is the huge amount you get, which adds a lot more value to the sum of this bronzer.

Color is important when it comes to bronzer, and we’re glad to say we weren’t disappointed. The two shades, whether used individually or swirled together to create an amalgam shade, are well-balanced in terms of color and finish. The color falls right at that sweet spot of warmth and coolness that makes for both a great bronzer and sculpting powder. The finish is a glowy satin with minimal glitters that really work to make the face glow. And if these weren’t enough, you also get really good wear time out of this bronzer.

But for all this bronzer’s strengths, at the same time, it also has a few weaknesses that are difficult to ignore. First of all, whether you’re using a brush to apply to the face (or your fingers, to swatch), the product is stubborn and difficult to pick up, which means quite a bit of back and forth between the pan and your face to get the perfect amount on. The stubbornness of the product also manifest in its resistance to blending, which can be problematic because who wants to have a noticeable brown stripe running on their face? Although the latter is corrected with a little bit of extra finesse.

This is a satisfying bronzer to use, no doubt about it. Whether you’re new to the idea of bronzing, or are a pro at using the stuff, this should provide for a great overall wearing experience, even if we do think there are quite a few bumps to overcome in the beginning.

SUITABLE FOR: All skin types.
