Tod’s had arguably one of the most luxurious shows this season. While it wasn’t the scintillating fashion revolution that the fashion sphere was familiar with in other Milan shows, like Prada or Marni, there’s no denying of the quality of the fabrications in their combined men’s and women’s spring 2019 collection. Firstly, just like their bags, the women wore exquisite leather of the highest of quality. The fine material was cut into easy-to-wear jackets, belted coat-dresses, even draped as a tulip skirt. Gigi Hadid even opened the show in a patchwork jacket made out of python skin and cow leather, among others. These leather looks were all painted in a nice and neutral earthy color scheme, save for a few pops of cobalt blue. As for the men, the materialization here was much more diverse but still as luxurious as ever. There were suede and denim jackets, finely-cut linen suits, and a few wooly separates perfect for a cool summer holiday. This collection was definitely for the jet set crowd, and anyone who’s dressed in them will surely feel luxurious themselves.
