Say what you will about Thom Browne‘s obsession with the suit, he sure knows how to make them excellent! His Fall 2019 show during Paris Fashion Week was full of them, and every woman—maybe even a few men—were all charmed! We know we were! Though we could have foregone the boring section of grey suits that opened the show (Thom Browne signatures but nothing really noteworthy in terms of design), it was the wonderful iterations that followed after that held this show to a higher caliber than others. Just look at how sharp his cuts are, how shapely his outerwear pieces look, and the fabric manipulations that were just stellar! Candy colors of light blue, brick pink, and creamy ecru add a touch of youthful mischief into otherwise stuffy suits (pardon the pun!). And for evening, a fabulous array of gilded ensembles and trompe l’oeil dresses to dance the night away in. Designers may have their own strengths in this industry, but when it comes to suiting, none are quite like Thom Browne’s!
