Often, we have the implicit bias that a watch connoisseur is a man. There are ladies’ watches, but they have often been relegated as fashion or jewelry timepieces which draw buyers more for their style than the mechanism that may be ticking inside. Of course, we all know that the wonders of horology are enjoyed by both men and women, even though there may be more vocal members of the former persuasion. TAG Heuer, a brand known for its watertight sports watches, is very well aware of this, and has decided to release a version of the popular Aquaracer especially for women.

Pros
Fans of the Aquaracer will not find the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Lady Calibre 9 unusual, but the feminine appearance keeps it from being dismissed as a boring release. Its case rests comfortably on the wrist, and the 32mm diameter is just the right size. The dial is also a main selling point as TAG Heuer offers it in mother-of-pearl; ladies have the option of going with either a white or a black one. It is also available in a dial with a set of 11 diamonds, the watch edging just a little on being a jewelry timepiece. That won’t get in the way of readability, so no reason to worry there. The indexes are made in Super-LumiNova, making it ideal for time-telling in the dark or even underwater.
Cons
It’s hard to pinpoint anything wrong with the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Lady, if we are being honest. But if we would dare quibble, the watch may not appeal to every taste and be appropriate for every occasion. Elegant and impressive as it may be, the sporty appearance is best reserved for casual appearances.
