In this day and age, tailoring is now completely different from what we knew of it before. Sharon Wauchob‘s is one of those designers to blame for such a revolution. Her use of the craft for womenswear led to some of the most elegant creations ever made, some of which are in her Fall 2019 line. By focusing on masterful draping and precise tailoring in equal measure, Wauchob emphasized the value of softness within structured clothing. A tan overcoat, for instance, decidedly cut into oversized proportions, was given a wide sash by the neckline to create (and help manipulate) a stunning glamorous shape. A black-and-white pantsuit contained fringes for that sophisticated movement, all the while fascinating in its intricate detailing. And a grey skirt-suit was half-tailored-half-draped for that almost sexually subversive effect. These are what stunned us with Sharon Wauchob’s latest offering, And highly likely, they’ll stun customers as well come fall!
