Shalimar Souffle de Parfum by Guerlain Review
Description
Do not be misled, Shalimar Souffle de Parfum is not like the original Shalimar regardless of what Guerlain says. We did not see any similarities perhaps some shared notes. To us, the newer fragrance is lighter and less citrusy. The floral accords, in particular orange blossom and jasmine shine here, although in a way that could still be considered subtle, and the white musk-led drydown is lovely. We wish it packed a little more power in the sillage department, though.

Among Guerlain’s most memorable releases is the Shalimar, and the fragrance is said to be reinterpreted through the Shalimar Souffle de Parfum. The newer scent came in a nice blue bottle which will see itself a little modified in the years that will follow since its release. Created by Thierry Wasser, the flanker brings together bergamot, lemon, mandarin, jasmine, orange blossom and musk. It was launched in 2014 in three sizes: 30, 50 and 100 ml.
