See By Chloé Fall 2019 Ready-To-Wear Collection Review
Description
It takes a lot more to go grunge than just layered styling. See By Chloé didn't exactly hit the nail on the head with their confusing Fall 2019 collection. In essence, all they offered were some basic clothes, some even abysmally proportioned, that relied too much on the styling than anything else. Here's to hoping they do a lot better next season!

It looks like See By Chloé is going the “Homeless Chic” look this season. In a confusing array of layered looks, the sub-label brought forth a maximalist collection that, while it played on the current trend, did little to nothing else to fascinate. In fact, their Fall 2019 collection left us feeling more worried about the brand than anything else. For one thing, it’s crystal clear that these looks are just products of expert styling—and even that wasn’t all that noteworthy—of ordinary wardrobe staples. When deconstructed, these are your average items of any disgruntled teenager in the suburbs attempting to go “edgy” (but failing miserably!). Secondly, the proportions are outrageously abhorrent! No self-respecting fashion label, even a subsidiary line, would come up with that sorrowfully cheap-looking skin-tight striped bodysuit. It won’t even pass as a villain’s costume in a ballet production—it’s that awful! And what of the oversized teal plaid sleeveless vest? We reckon even the homeless won’t touch it! The footwear here, however, was commendable and the only good things here. It would have been better had the brand presented them with simple basic clothes instead of this worrisome fashion line.
