September 2022 Sales (LATEST)

Elsa Schiaparelli iconic shade of “shocking pink” was all over her brand’s Pre-Fall 2019 Collection, courtesy of design director, Bertrand Guyon. The shade is just as electric now as it was eons ago, but while the legendary eponymous founder applied it to tailored suits and show-stopping evening gowns, Guyon had a more street-smart approach to the famous hue. He colored knitted sweaters, faux fur jackets, rigidly-tailored skirt-suits, and graphic tees with the beloved shade of pink—proving that whether on more refined pieces or on a simple t-shirt, the color works with almost everything. It even works with various other hues as well, such as a stark shade of crimson, a subtle tone of slightly burnt orange, and even gradient with a flurry of rainbow colors as well. It’s possible that, in her heyday, Schiaparelli herself never imagined just how far her famous color would go, but as Guyon showed in this collection, the color is another of the legendary designer’s historic contributions to fashion. One that is still relevant to this day!
