Salvatore Ferragamo is one of those luxury labels who rely mostly on their high-quality fabrications than out-of-the-box designs., especially since Paul Andrew took up the reigns as creative director. In recent seasons, Ferragamo has been trotting out minimalist clothes that were crafted and constructed into sheer perfection, and their Pre-Fall 2019 collection is no exception. Here, however, there’s more exploration for different materials. The most noteworthy of which is mohair, which came in comfy long coats and tailored jackets. There was also some sumptuous cashmere involved, cut into body-hugging dresses and work-ready pantsuits. For the men, Guillaume Meilland played with flannel a lot, offering easier and more relaxed separated instead of his usual structures suits. Even with such sheer simplicity, Salvatore Ferragamo remains to be a luxurious powerhouse in this day and age.
