What are the biggest trends today? Tailoring? Sportswear? Sequins? Mostly all of these. And all of these were also present at Rosa Cha’s Fall 2019 show during New York Fashion Week. And while they were all the hottest tropes in fashion today, they didn’t necessarily mesh well. The sportswear looked gaudy, the sexiness was too overt, and the sparkles didn’t glimmer as much as we hoped. We can actually count the very few looks that stood out in one hand, and that’s saying a lot for a 53-look line. One highlight was an 80s-esque brown pantsuit in shimmering leather—the finish of which wasn’t even that fine. The swimsuits in shiny black, silver, and burgundy weren’t fit for a Fall line, nor did they look flattering at all. Ultimately, in her efforts to look cool, Rosa Cha‘s offering looked rather dated instead.
