September 2022 Sales (LATEST)

In this day and age, there’s practically no barrier that separates the worlds of art and fashion anymore. Both have become so intrinsic to each other that you’re no longer sure if the person presenting is an artist or a designer. And with her stunningly artistic Pre-Fall 2019 CollectionRoksanda Ilincic is one to the tow these lines. An art curator herself, her works have become extensions of her love of art, which gives her customers a vast range of exceptionally beautiful clothing. This season, Roksanda was inspired by the works of Rana Begum, whose use of form and color challenges the eye to perceive different proportions within a particular space. Both of Begum’s signature elements, color and proportion, were also what Roksanda played with the most for this line. There was definitely no scarcity of color this season, as vivid shades of tangerine, olive green, seafoam green, peacock blue, and punch pink painted most of the clothes. The proportions, on the other hand, were bigger and wider, not because it’s the trend among streetwear nowadays, but because such forms allow movement and dominance. Most of her dresses can billow and dominate an entire room with an elegant presence. With this collection, Roksanda also touched upon the power of women and how their clothes can often express their strength in an artistic way.
