The Rag & Bone gentleman remains to be on the brink of his youth for Fall 2019. Founder and designer Marcus Wainwright highlighted this season that the man he’s designing for only wants two things: sportswear and slouchy tailoring. Both were on full display at this seasonal line, from the suit-like monochromatic separates to parkas and anoraks that exuded such shapely forms. The slouchy tailoring here provided a tinge of sophistication amidst the nonchalant offering. For example, there was a matching navy teal plaid set that was exceptionally refined even looked military-esque in a way. As was the straight and streamlined camel coat that, even when paired with sneakers, still looked chic and elegant. It’s through such stand-out pieces that prove that this brand—essentially one of the pioneers of sporty streetwear—can still evoke sophistication in a multitude of small ways.
