To some people, Polo Red Intense makes up for the strength that is lacking in the original Red fragrance. Launched in 2015, it was signed by Olivier Gillotin. The fragrance is a combination of spicy, fruity and woodsy accords. Some of these are lemon, saffron, cranberry, blood grapefruit, ginger, lavender, coffee, amber, leather and red cedar.
Polo Red Intense by Ralph Lauren Review
Polo Red Intense may improve on the criticisms on the original Polo Red, but it still is not the exceptional fragrance others may expect a Ralph Lauren scent to be. While parading it would have you complimented a few times, as a wearer it’s hard to ignore the artificial vibe of some of the notes. The opening is also not for everyone as we note it to be sweet, which is often undesired in masculine fragrances. The older enthusiasts among us would not be inclined to wear this so casually; Polo Red Intense feels more like it was made for younger browsers.
Easy to like for casual perfume wearers
Performs great on the skin
We don’t think it’s appropriate for all ages; fitting for younger frag heads
It is hard to brush off the synthetic smell of certain accords
Immensely sweet in the beginning
