Piazza Sempione may not be one of those Italian brands that continue to revolutionize fashion season after season—such as Prada or Marni—but they sure know how to keep up with the times. There’s no denying that Federico Piaggi and Stefano Citron‘s muse for their Fall 2019 collection is that of a modern woman, empowered yet romantic. She’s strong in her streamlined silhouettes, straightforward and structured while completely refined. She wears suits that completely flatter her form and accentuate it with a few flares in-between. She’s also bold in color and textile, donning a shimmering sleek ensemble in what looks like glossy wool or going for dynamic shades of bubblegum pink and bright crimson. But beyond her power, however, lies a vulnerability that’s utterly romantic. They show in her more fluid pieces, like a beautifully draped black knitted sweater or a black-and-silver polka-dotted silk blouse. Such softness emphasizes her femininity without taking away her distinct taste for power. This season, Piazza Sempione is dressing a complete woman, and she’s never looked better!
