Among many designers in New York City today, Pamella Roland is one to trust for a sexy cocktail dress or a show-stopping evening gown. She relays that her business has been booming as of late and that it’s her razor-sharp focus on occasion-wear that’s driving this success. So for her show for Fall 2019 in New York Fashion Week, against a bevy of tailored daywear and sporty streetwear, she released 35 ensembles—all prettier than the next—fit for all sorts of elegant affairs. A one-shoulder one-sleeved frilly black mini-dress would be perfect for a night out on the town with the girls. Have a wedding to go to? The floaty magenta-hued chiffon halter dress would do. And for those A-listers on the red carpet, they’ll easily make fashion moment upon fashion moment with those tulle confections that closed the show. This season, there was a new emphasis on embellishments, particularly of the feathered variety, that appeared in a pearl-encrusted silver-to-black ombre bustier dress and a sexy lilac mini, among others. Roland seems to really listen to what her customers want, and it’ll be no surprise if her business sees more success in the foreseeable future!
