Oud by Maison Francis Kurkdjian Review
Description
Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Oud is a niche fragrance that poses as one of the possible introductions to the note, if you could spare money for its asking price. It is rich and dark like others with the accord, but to us it also is warm and gentle, easing non-oud lovers to the scent. We don’t think it is intended to provoke, especially with its silky, sweet feeling. It lasts the whole day, letting us into a dreamy state in a long time.

The oud on Francis Kurkdjian’s fragrance is not from the Middle East but from Laos where the note is supposedly the purest and therefore the most luxurious of them all. The particular note is blended with saffron, cedar and patchouli. The perfumer’s eponymous brand, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, released the fragrance in 2012. It was made available as a eau de parfum in 70 ml flacons.
