September 2022 Sales (LATEST)
There are a few watchmaking brands that need no introduction, even to non-enthusiasts. Omega is among them—even if you have no interest in horology, chances are, you’ve heard of the brand, thanks to the legacy it left in history and its significant exposure in popular culture. What it has is a reputation that is well-earned, thanks to its commitment to creating watches that can be considered luxury but are, at its very core, functional. It’s understandable that the brand is what entices laymen to take up collecting watches as a hobby, with or without the persuasion of a friend who is already an aficionado.

The Omega Seamaster 300M Co-Axial Chronograph is bound to impress newbies and long-time fans alike because it is representative of the good things about the brand: timeless design, meticulous execution, and functionality. It was released in two sizing options, one meant to cater to fans with slimmer wrists and the other to follow the trend among watchmakers that are of the same caliber. Like other chronographs bearing luxury names, this one does not come cheap. However, it’s a worthy pick for those who take a no-nonsense approach in their watches and accessories.

Omega has mastered the art of creating a watch that is an all-around charmer in the Seamaster 300M Co-Axial Chronograph. Aesthetically speaking, it is not a leap from the Seamasters we have come to love, but the slick job on the chronograph is deserving of positive interjections—the lacquered dial creates a mesmerizing sight even in the absence of the sun’s rays, and the anti-reflective coating on the sapphire crystal gives added protection against glares. It comes as no surprise that Omega makes a monster out of this Seamaster chronograph, which is what you’d only expect out of the price. The chronometer comes with a certification from the COSC, the materials and the finishing leave you feeling assured of its durability, and the adjustments are headache-free especially on the date corrector pusher notwithstanding its location.
The Omega Seamaster 300M Co-Axial Chronograph is available in two options, one with a case that has a diameter of 41.5mm, and the other at 44.25mm. While the former is perhaps more preferable for most people, both watches are noticeably heavy that one can almost use it for self-defense (although we hope you would not have to, of course). Wearers can benefit from an adjustable clasp especially when the bracelet is a little loose. This also comes with a diver’s extension, although it is more economical to offer it as an add-on to people who will actually use the watch for diving (which we assume isn’t a lot) than have it sitting on the box and left unused.
