Yara Linn should be celebrated as one of the pioneers of the ‘sustainable style’ movement. Her brand of ten years to the day, Nomia, has been a devoted organization in highlighting organic materials and eco-friendly processes when making high fashion products. And while her Fall 2019 collection was another example of sustainable style, it was anything but high fashion. To be brutally frank, it was a plain and mediocre offering, nothing that can merit any interest from anyone in the fashion sphere. A plain jumpsuit here, a skirt-suit there—practically nothing about it was noteworthy. There was that neon highlighter orange top underneath a white coat, but that look was a stand-out in all the wrong reasons. The hue was just offensively garish while the outerwear in question looked like your ordinary labcoat. If you were to convince anyone that sustainable style can also look as grand as any mainstream fashion line, don’t show them this collection!
