Nike Air Foamposite Pro Sequoia Review
Description
On a collector’s point of view, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Sequoia is a highly valued pair that deserves a place in every collection. While it is pricey for its look and the comfort it brings, it could be viewed as paying for the legacy of the model in various Nike Air lines. But while it could be used in the court, it wouldn’t be the first or even second choice for basketball athletes, making it just another average pair in the sea of stunning and high-performing sneakers.

The familiar giddy feeling of knowing your favorite athlete or celebrity is wearing the same pair of shoes as you have is what fans love about iconic Nike shoes. May it be way back 20 years ago that Tim Duncan became the first wore Nike Air Foamposites in an All-Star game, but owning a new Foamposite pair (even with a different colorway) now would instantly have you connected to that historic moment. Several more basketball stars have worn Foamposites in a game, letting the model survive decades until today. And while many of the Air Jordans and Flyknits are coming out with vibrant and crazy colorways nowadays, Nike listened to fans’ pleading for simpler builds—hence, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Sequoia.

Nike Air Foamposites have been popular for a long time, with various colorways giving the retro pair fresher looks. With its recent 20-year milestone in the sneaker world, some of the most loved colorways in the past have been revived and new combinations of hues were introduced, too. One of the coolest ones are 2018’s ‘Sequoia’ colorway, a brand new take on the familiar and well-loved silhouette.

Pros

Style is the first thing to love about these shoes. The Sequoia (dark green) hue of the foam shell upper added with balancing accents of orange keep the shoes fashionable. Aside from a cool appearance, these Foamposites come handy both inside the court and out in the streets. With the pair’s great traction, they are awesome for playing basketball. In terms of the fit, the shoes are true to size, keep your feet snug while you wear them.

Cons

These Foamposites may be comfy in the feet after some time, yet breaking in may take a while. It seems ironic too that these Nike Airs are heavy, especially that they are marketed for use in basketball. Another thing to remember about these shoes is that the bottom part may turn yellow after using it countless of times and some purchases might deliver pairs with minor flaws.
