We never would have thought that the white shirt had any connection with Marie Antoinette, but Nabil Nayal proved otherwise. His Fall 2019 presentation combined the frivolity of the fallen fashion icon with the simplicity and pragmatism of the modern yet classic staple. See the organza-ladened creation that started his presentation. Its wafty structure provided that Rococo-style romance while its stark whiteness and appeal upheld modernity. The same can be said of the white shirt with the ruffled collar and puffed-up sleeves. Paired with a sleek black column dress, it became a cool and confident piece. The puffer silhouettes, on the other hand, add a bit of sporty volume without sacrificing the underlying flamboyance of it all! Though we wished Nayal would have polished the line more, we still liked the overall presentation!
