Trust Massimo Giorgetti to give the runway some much-needed bursts of color when times are looking dark and gray. For spring 2019, the Italian designer resurrected many of his stylish signatures, particularly the wrap dress in graphic prints. But this time, instead of simply trotting out sexy silhouettes, they were cut in slinky shapes that allowed women of any body size to slip into. There was also a sporty and streetwise element to these looks as if the women just came out of a dance class and layered their leotards with billowy skirts and skin-tight tops. These women were also ones to expertly drape luscious fabrics over their bodies to create sensual yet sophisticated cocktail looks. The streetwear elements, however, continued the show with eye-popping tie-dye looks in various hues, from denim-like blue, bubblegum pink, and lime yellow. These were the clothes for the women of today, a crowd that Mr. Giorgetti himself is well-acquainted with.
