What’s fashion without a sense of humor? At Jeremy Scott‘s latest collection for Moschino, he touched on the industry’s role in providing escapism, and what better way than to bring America’s longest-running and most popular game show to Milan, “The Price Is Right!” In his Fall 2019 show, in true Jeremy Scott fashion, dollar bills were printed on suits, hairstyles were big and brash, and a TV dinner was made into an avant-garde outfit—complete with pease, mashed potatoes, and gravy! Such was the scene at this overtly fantastical event, in which Scott sent out a collection that, if not for anything else, was to make people smile and forget the world’s troubles. There still some savory pieces, however, such as the 60s-esque body-hugging evening wear and the bejeweled and bedazzled denim. Such items are bound to appear on the backs of many starlets come red carpet season, but that time, no one would be laughing!
