Missoni Pre-Fall 2019 Womenswear Collection – Milan

August 2021 Sales (LATEST)

Missoni is one of those heritage houses that continuously reinvents itself within every passing trend. This shouldn’t’ come as a surprise since the brand recently celebrated their 65th anniversary during Milan Fashion Week last September 2018.  But for Pre-Fall 2019, it’s still a bit astonishing how this family knitwear behemoth is still able to apply their signature codes to current trends and styles. This season, Angela Missoni achieved combining her label’s knitted legacy onto the current tailoring trend, creating comfy yet refined looks made out of the best yarn in the world. A stand-out look is a wooly pantsuit with the brand’s own version of pinstripes—a youthful and slightly edgy take on the classic silhouette and print. Patchwork, another of their indelible signatures, was also on full display here. It appeared as street-style jackets, well-cut trousers, and of course, cozy sweaters. With the family’s vibrant flair and rustic Italian touch, it’s possible that Missoni will enjoy 65 more years of relevance in the fashion industry!
