It’s always amazing when we come across products at the drugstore that somehow manage to blow everything else before them out of the water. Such is the case for the Facestudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter from the ever-reliable Maybelline brand.
For a powder highlighter, this product is so amazingly creamy. The texture is just so easy to pick up on a brush and deposit onto the skin, and blend. The coloration is also stunning, presenting with just the right amount of pigment to be noticeable without being overwhelming. The staying power of this highlighter is also unprecedented, especially for a drugstore product. But the true highlight (pun totally intended) of this product is the way it glows. The amount of lumination this highlighter does is absolutely off the charts. This is a true blinding highlighter that not a lot of other highlighters can compete with—not even other luxury highlighters.
Our only real critique for this product is that because the slight bit of glitteriness in its formula, there’s a real risk for fallout. Since the glitters of this product aren’t too chunky, it won’t be particularly intense fallout, but there’s going to be fallout nonetheless.
Whichever makeup kit or collection it may end up in, this’ll be a great fit and one that people will surely keep coming back to. Honestly, this one of the best products at the drugstore, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it just keeps getting more and more popular.
