People often assume that luxury is all about ease, but it’s also about strength. This season, no other brand showcased strength quite as luxuriously as Max Mara Atelier. Their Fall 2019 line of coats and suits was simply to die for! Inspired by the works of artist Mimmo Paladino, each piece held its own sculptural splendor! Granted the Max Mara brand is known for their outerwear, their craftsmanship is not given the attention it deserves. Each of these magnificent coats was made by hand, worked on for multiple hours by some of the finest artisans in Italy. And it shows too! Just look at how that collar of the high-necked cocoon-like coat stands up even without the support of the wearer’s neck. Or the shimmering finish of the fine fur coat (we only wish they hadn’t used real animal skin to make it!). A streamlined double-breasted number in black was exceptionally chic and had a classic tinge to it that was slightly vintage but still modern and contemporary! We can go on and on about how amazing these pieces are, but in fact, they can speak of their excellence themselves! This selection is a winner in our books!
