A bubblegum pink skirt-suit might sound a little too Barbie-ish for a lot of women, but Maryling‘s take on it was anything but! In fact, their Fall 2019 collection was a great representation of chic styles that are unabashedly feminine but also elegantly empowering. Think sleeveless coat-dresses in camel cinched by the waist with black leather belts. A dove grey jacket with blush pink detailing worn over a gray check jumpsuit. Even a slightly oversized pink sweater paired with similarly hued shorts and python-skin boots. The harmony between classic femininity and the modern and edgy shapes gave credence to a new sense of style that many women are embracing nowadays. One that’s ultimately simple and sophisticated yet adheres to old codes of dressing without looking too nostalgic. It’s an incredibly cool proposition that we’re confident will grow big come fall. And because of this, we regard Maryling as one of the season’s commendable winners!
