September 2022 Sales (LATEST)
Since his label is showing at Paris Haute Couture Week, one wouldn’t know that Rabih Kayrouz‘s newest collection was actually his Fall 2019 Ready-To-Wear Collection. These days, numerous RTW brands are now showing in this particular week, but only Kayrouz’s show is able to blur the lines between the two markets with his spectacularly made clothes. His looks rival those of the haute couture behemoths, more so because of his fearless play on silhouettes and volumes and ingenious skill in shaping all sorts of fabrics into couture-worthy pieces. Despite taking on overwhelming shapes and strict tailoring, however, his clothes still look and felt light and airy. The first look alone—that of a white shirt paired with black trousers—already had the sleeves wafting about as the model walked down the runway. His silhouettes remained long and lean, yet they weren’t exclusively evening attire neither. Pantsuits and long coats made for elegant daywear ensembles, even those in the silky variety that were painted in vibrant hues of purple. mustard, and fuschia. This season also marks Kayrouz’s first foray into menswear, which had little to no difference since he mostly dressed his men in robes and dresses. All in all, this was one of the few that earned its right to stand among the great haute couture giants. And even when doing so, he still managed to stand out!
