Description
Anyone can deduce what Leather by Franck Boclet is all about right off the bat, but what is surprising for us is how easy it is to take delight in it. This is not a perfect fragrance, but it is well-made, we’ll tell you that. The leather is complemented by notes such as saffron and lemon, which make it have more depth and feel cleaner, and the musky smell feels more interesting than your cheaper variants. It can’t be had for an an affordable price though, and it is disappointing that performance could be improved, but Leather is a modern, versatile fragrance that can help you get on in the accord.

We find the modern Leather to be versatile compared to other scents with similar profiles
It is spicy without being off-putting, and instead smells smooth and clean
Negatives
Not very accessible and feels overpriced for its level of complexity
Longevity is not as great as more notable leather-based scents

Franck Boclet chooses to be direct with this fragrance, naming it after the most prominent accord it contains: Leather. This came to be in 2013, and was brought together by Melanie Leroux. Despite being a niche scent, Leather is not as challenging to like. Its top notes are listed to be lemon, saffron and cumin; its middle notes are a blend of jasmine and rose; and its base notes are amber and leather.
