Fenty Beauty ended 2018 with such a bang that we thought it was going to enter the new year in a more eased manner, after all the holiday awesomeness it brought to the beauty world.
BUT NO—as usual, Rihanna and her brand is here to give the start of the 2019 some interesting pizzazz. Fenty Beauty has no chill with its product releases, that their latest news hit the industry at the very beginning of the year, with much surprise and amazement from their avid fans (like us!).
Queen Riri spilled the beans on Instagram during New Year’s Day. The makeup mogul and celebrated artist added to the excitement of the day with her announcement that a brand new Pro Filt’r Concealer is launching soon with a total of 50 shades. So if you’ve been impressed with the brand’s 40 shade-range before, you’ll surely admire the brand for an even extensive shade offers this year.
The longwear formula of the new Pro Filt’r Concealer is #THECURE for those of us “looking busted,” according to the humor-filled announcement of Rihanna on January 1. She then promises the brand new version of the concealer can “cover bags, dark circles, pimples, hyperpigmentation, and sins!”
Since the announcement, there has been a hype surrounding the release of the newest Pro Filt’r Concealer. Aside from its promises for a great coverage that might as well be a real life filter on your face, this concealer is known to dry down into a matte finish.
Riri herself showed how she uses the product through a Youtube tutorial. From the Queen herself, a demonstration from how she put the concealer on her hand first, down to dabbing on the product and finally blending over her eye area was shown—and many were pleased with how it looked on Rihanna herself. She then claimed that unlike some other concealer formula, which tend to get tacky eventually, the Pro Filt’r Concealer doesn’t.
The 50 Shades
And now, for the real deal, we can totally say that Fenty Beauty once again established itself as the leader of inclusivity in the makeup industry, after a whole movement it created when it was first launched. The total of 50 shades of its concealer is an extensive edge that puts the brand in front of its competitors, who usually only have 7-12 shades on their concealer range. It’s a testament of the brand’s inclusiveness at its finest.
You can get the Pro Filt’r Concealer ($26) starting January 11, along with other new additions to the brand’s makeup collection. The Pro Filt’r Foundation ($34) is also adding 10 more shades to its line, making it a 50-shade range too. Another fresh launch for the brand this year is the eight-shade Pro Filt’r Retouch Setting Powder ($32) that promises a porcelain-smooth matte look.
These Fenty Beauty products will be both available on Sephora and the brand’s official website, so stay on your feet and start counting down the last few days.
