For Fall 2019, designer Jeffrey Rudes is combining two major trends to capture the glamour of the past with the zeitgeist of the present. In his latest offering, there was a sort of streetwear sensibility to his beautifully tailored ensembles, one that has a more upscale appeal than other contemporary brands. Jeffrey Rudes is more of a denim designer than anything else, and his works here are so refined and sophisticated that they’d definitely warrant a high price tag. This season, his jeans take on a figure-hugging silhouette, evidently showcasing the brand’s expertise on tailoring. The rest of the collection, on the other hand, were inspired by the 1970s, taking on iconic trends such has bohemian chic, safari clothing, and a tinge of disco. And yet, with such a sleek approach, one wouldn’t see the references first-hand. Simply put, these are beautiful clothes for beautiful people, and no matter the references behind them, these are all modern, contemporary, and fresh!
