In one her very first collections for Joseph, newly-appointed creative director Susanna Clayton delivered one of the most luxurious and most sophisticated collections this season. There was a simplistic approach to her Fall 2019 line that was exceptionally refined, allowing the strong shapes and the luscious textiles to do all the talking. Granted we got strong ‘Celine by Phoebe Philo‘ vibes from it, we still noted the very distinct Joseph silhouettes in the line. Particular characteristics were the elongated trousers, which were abundant here. They added such elegance to the whole line, as well as a powerful vibe that’ll go well with many modern and empowered women today. Streamlined pleated skirts provided a softer touch that, while still strong, had femininity that was endlessly inspiring. And what of the leather pieces? Extravagantly luscious in the best ways possible. They were excruciatingly chic that it almost hurt not to have them for ourselves! But we’re sure many women—possibly even a few men—would go gaga over them come fall! We already have!
