John Varvatos Eau de Toilette Spray by John Varvatos Review
Description
This John Varvatos fragrance is an intriguing release, just like some of the scents from the house that came before it. The smell is great but uncommon at the time, mixing fruits with woods and then exciting with spices. The shift from one to another is particularly interesting to observe. What’s great about it is that in spite of its complexity, the scent is versatile. That may be due in part to its weak sillage however, which makes it close to being a skin scent and being generally inoffensive.

John Varvatos by John Varvatos first saw light in 2004. Created together with Rodrigo Flores-Roux, it builds on previous masculine fragrance releases from the house that are described as modern and elegant. The scent is supported by woody and leathery notes, and then West Indian tamarind tree leaf, herbs, black leather, oud, vanilla and medjool date fruit. Available in both 75 and 125 ml, the fragrance can also be bought as part of a set that includes a deodorant and a bath gel.
