Founded in 1999, IPPOLITA is the brainchild of Ippolita Rostagno, an Italian designer and artist. Born in the Cradle of Renaissance, Florence, Italy, Ippolita finished a sculpture degree in Instituto D’Arte, and earned a BA English Literature in New York.

Ippolita initially worked in publication but then shifted gears when she missed doing crafts. Having no formal training except knowing how to design, she started to design and make jewelries and was employed by Banana Republic to do the same.
