Aedes de Venustas’ sophomore fragrance is a different approach to iris that what we’re accustomed to, which makes this an intriguing product that iris fans might want to get a bottle of. The opening is dry and gray but not off-putting, and the heart keeps the feeling from overwhelming its wearer. The florals emerge, still blending seamlessly with the rest of the notes, and then the woods. We would not advise wearing this when you’re going for cheery and pretty.
