Before the oversized rugby shirts and ugly sneakers of streetwear, sportswear used to be the most accessible line of luxury in the fashion world. In fact, the ready-to-wear-market was actually formed to cater to such needs. Now, since old-school tailoring is the big trend nowadays, Hugo Boss is bringing back luxury sportswear in a refined and dashing manner. Chief brand office and head designer Ingo Wilts brought forth a camel-toned collection for Fall 2019 that’s all sporty, but still sophisticated. For the womenswear side of it, the tailoring was softer yet still precise. From the slightly masculine pantsuits to the feminine and classic capes and coats, these items exuded class and power but were still undeniably feminine. Even when it veered into darker shades of navy and cobalt blue, they remained softly seductive in their overall appeal. Especially the last two white satin cocktail dresses—free-form yet sensual—that were all kinds of refinement. These looks will probably go big come fall!
