Hourglass Cosmetics’ roster of products is an unending list of favorites among savvy connoisseurs. It’s a shame, then, that one of their much-hyped products falls quite flat on those expectations. Enter the Caution™ Extreme Lash Mascara. Its luxurious golden packaging is a sight to behold, but alas, it represents a broken promise of sorts. While it does the job of separating and lengthening eyelashes, it fails to serve much volume, leaving much to be desired in the “Extreme” department. Application also has to be done with plenty of care as one wrong move could just lead down the heartbreaking path of clumping (and eventual flaking throughout the day). While it’s not a bad mascara per se, it’s definitely not up to the usual golden standard of Hourglass Cosmetics (and its hefty price tag).

The Caution™ Extreme Lash Mascara is the odd dud out of the brand’s reliable history of product releases because it does create plenty of issues despite its hefty price tag. While the product does deliver on some of its claims, it’s generally plagued by too many problems to be a reliable must-buy for any individual.
